Silicon Carbide Impeller Applications

Silicon carbide impellers are remarkable components that are fabricated through isostatic pressing and high-temperature sintering. These advanced impellers offer a plethora of machining capabilities, such as multi-angle drilling, groove machining, internal and external diameter and end face finishing, and five-axis machining. This allows them to fulfill the diverse design requirements of users.

Their typical application lies in fluid pumps operating in Working conditions with strong corrosion and particle erosion. Industries like fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and environmental engineering benefit from the utilization of these silicon carbide impellers.

The characteristics of silicon carbide impellers are truly outstanding. They can be drilled and slotted, and their internal and external diameters as well as end faces can be precisely finished (including curved surfaces), with a maximum size of 400mm and a machining accuracy of 0.01mm. Moreover, they can undergo five-axis machining to meet the exact design specifications.

Stringent quality checks are carried out on silicon carbide impellers, including density, dimension, and surface fluorescent penetrant testing. The material density of silicon carbide impellers is 3.15g/cm3, and their Vickers hardness is greater than 23GPa, ensuring high wear resistance.

In conclusion, silicon carbide impellers are a game-changer in the field of fluid pumps, providing reliable and efficient solutions for industries that demand excellence and durability.
