Silicon Carbide Sandblasting Nozzle The Key to Efficient Surface Treatment

Silicon carbide sandblasting nozzles, such as the CORESIC® SP, play a crucial role in various industries. These nozzles are fabricated through isostatic pressing and high-temperature sintering, enabling them to meet the design requirements of users. They can be processed for drilling, groove machining, internal and external diameter, and end face finishing (including the surface).

The typical applications of silicon carbide sandblasting nozzles include various dry powder and liquid sandblasting guns. They are widely used in industries such as metal pretreatment, mold treatment, strengthening, rust removal, and finishing; as well as in the treatment of clothing for a matte finish.

Silicon carbide ceramic nozzle has several remarkable features and advantages. It adopts the dry bag CIP molding process, resulting in a high density (>3.15g/cm3) and a Vickers hardness of over 23GPa, ensuring excellent wear resistance. Moreover, it can be drilled, machined for grooves, and precisely finished for internal and external diameters and end faces (including curved surfaces) with a machining accuracy up to 0.01mm. It undergoes strict inspections for density, size, and surface fluorescence penetration. The lifespan of the  silicon carbide ceramic nozzle can reach 600-800 hours, which is more than twice that of hard alloy nozzles (varying depending on the medium).

In terms of specifications, common specifications for sandblasters include OD35-ID20-H (6-10), OD45-ID20-H (6-10), etc. Additionally, they can also be customized according to customer drawings. The silicon carbide sandblasting nozzle, with its outstanding performance and durability, is an essential component in achieving efficient and high-quality surface treatment.
