Silicon Carbide Bundleblock High-Performance Heat Exchangers

The Silicon Carbide (SiC) bundleblock has gained significant attention as an advanced solution in heat exchange systems, particularly for applications involving high temperatures, high pressures, and corrosive environments. A Silicon Carbide bundleblock integrates SiC baffles, tube sheets, and SiC heat exchange tubes into a single, efficient heat exchanger unit. This unique integration of components provides superior durability and efficiency, making it an ideal choice for industrial sectors such as fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and environmental engineering.

The Silicon Carbide bundleblock offers several distinct advantages:

Customizable Tube Dimensions: The SiC heat exchange tubes within the bundleblock are customizable to meet specific client requirements. Typical dimensions include an outer diameter (OD) of 8 mm and an inner diameter (ID) of 6 mm, with tube spacing ranging from 2 to 4 mm. This flexibility allows for precise configuration based on process requirements.

Exceptional Corrosion Resistance: Silicon Carbide’s robust chemical resistance enables it to handle harsh chemicals, including strong acids and alkalis, without degradation. This corrosion resistance is a critical feature, as it ensures the Silicon Carbide bundleblock’s longevity and reliability under challenging conditions.

High Pressure and Temperature Endurance: The Silicon Carbide bundleblock is designed to withstand water pressures of up to 30 BAR and temperatures exceeding 300°C. These capabilities make it suitable for demanding industrial processes, where materials are subject to severe mechanical and thermal stress.

Enhanced Heat Transfer Efficiency: The Silicon Carbide bundleblock’s unique design allows for heat transfer efficiency that is more than double that of standard tube or block heat exchangers. This efficiency boost can lead to significant energy savings and process optimization for industrial applications.

The current maximum outer diameter for the Silicon Carbide bundleblock can reach up to 200 mm, with a height of 500 mm. Additionally, the shape of the baffle and the sealing method can be customized according to detailed technical drawings, allowing for tailored designs that meet specific operational needs.
